Why This Prize Money is Significant
It is rare for prize money to be designated for visually impaired athletes. In fact, it is highly unusual for a race to specify a Visually Impaired division on the registration form anywhere in the world. At the Vision 5K, we know that blind and visually impaired athletes want to compete and to achieve just as sighted athletes do. Therefore, we offer them the opportunity to earn prize money on par with wheelchair and able-bodied participants in other races.
